“Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness”
Though this film came out at the beginning of the summer, it set a precedent for other movies and shows to follow.
“Multiverse of Madness” was a bit mad to say the least. The movie felt a little scattered, with the introduction of America Chavez, a deep dive into The Scarlet Witches mind, and Dr. Steven Strange’s mid-life crisis, this movie felt like a scattered mess. But it’s the messiness that makes this movie whole. Maybe I’m just being a crazy film critic, but a messy timeline makes perfect sense in the story of Dr. Strange.
The music is fantastic, the characters are complete and fun, and there are plenty of exciting moments to pull your attention back to the movie and keep you hooked. This includes a musical battle scene where Dr. Strange fights an evil version of himself with magical sheet music.
It can be hard to follow at times, and I have a feeling that’s why many people had hard feelings about this movie. If viewers pay enough attention, though, the story is complete and full of exciting, heart-wrenching, and relatable moments that make it a wonderful film to kick off the summer, or a movie marathon weekend.
