MCHS hosted their annual Veterans Day panel last Friday to give students a chance to honor veterans and ask them questions
On Friday, November 10, MCHS honored veterans by hosting a panel of veterans for students and staff to listen to and ask questions.

On Friday, MCHS hosted a veterans panel in the auditorium to celebrate Veterans Day. The veterans at the panel were MCHS teachers, former students, and community members.

Students went to hear the veterans talk about their experiences, and ask them questions during their social science period. The afternoon panel had a World War 2 veteran who came to tell his story.

Local veterans who spoke to the school included Colin Brennon, Richard Hazdra, Barry Phelps, Lolly Peters, Ryan Yantis, Joe Kalisek, Tim Kirk, John Rickerd, and Ken Hauser.

“I think it’s an opportunity for our students to hear from people we can’t say thank you enough to,” said social science teacher Cody Freund.
