As the stage lights dim and the crowds anticipation increases, the media celebrity Jojo Siwa emerges in her extravagant and sparkly performance costume, embodying both adoration and outrage from her fans that have defined her career. Although, recently her fans have been responding negatively to her recent acts.
Popular dancer, singer, actress and social media star Jojo Siwa has gotten into her fair share of scandals and viral moments since her brand change from making content primarily for young girls to strictly adults.
Siwa has a talent to make the crowd gasp, for better or for worse. She knows exactly how to stay afloat and trending in today’s media. Jojo seems to be a familiar topic recently and everyone seems to be thinking the same thing; Jojo needs to chill out.
On Oct. 8 at the Industry Dance Awards Siwa was giving her speech and commented on a recent conspiracy.
“I also have to say thank you to Beyoncé,” Siwa says, “just thought we would keep the dance community safe,”
By thanking Beyoncé, Siwa was referencing the conspiracy surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs recent scandal and Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s involvement.
“Beyoncé, you’ve got great music.” Siwa says, “We all love to dance to it. We all love you.”
According to the conspiracy, you supposedly end up dying or your career falls off if you forget to thank Beyoncé, in order to essentially save yourself and avoid the wrath of Combs and Jay-Z.
Jojo continues to lead on this joke, laughing about it on stage, and leaves those watching in person and online either speechless or speculating.
“Someone had to,” Siwa says.
Although there is no actual evidence connecting these speeches to the allegations against Combs despite Jay-Z’s friendship with him, conspiracy theorists tend to pay attention to these things now that the Combs scandal has surfaced because it involves industry elites.
Whether this speech was real, or just a joke to follow the TikTok conspiracy trend, afterward there was a new rumor circulating that Siwa was now missing.
New information surfaced since then that she is completely fine, but hasn’t posted on TikTok which is irregular given her strong social media presence.
Siwa most likely waited a week or so, for rumors to naturally accumulate before posting on social media. As Siwa is not new to hate, backlash was not a problem for her.
While some praise Siwa for thanking Beyoncé in her speech it was out of line and unnecessary in general. There were victims to Combs’ crimes and it’s still a sensitive topic considering the scandal was only brought to light around 2 months ago.
With Siwa’s popularity and influence, she should have known better than to poke the sleeping bear.
Siwa definitely knows how to stir up an audience and clearly has no intention of stopping soon.
