Kyla Henige

Kyla Henige joined Newspaper her freshman year, but not just because it was an “easy elective.”

“I also loved writing,” says Henige. “It’s been a passion of mine, and it’s just something that I’ve enjoyed for the past 4 years with the community and overall style of the class.”

She has a passion for journalism, and is going to MCC for 2 years for her general education, before going to Daytona State to pursue broadcast journalism. But she will always remember her time here at MCHS.

“I think this year has been my favorite because I’ve had a lot of freedom and this was the year i truly discovered who I am, what I want to do, and who my true friends are,” says Henige.

Based on her experience, Henige describes high school as a family.

“Because even though you’ll fight with people, they’ll be people you don’t like, in the end you’re graduating together and these are the people you’ll spend the next four years of your life with.
