When scrolling on social media, a student sees an ad for a new coffee store called 7Brew opening in Crystal Lake.

The store opened on March 23. Another location will be opening in Lakemoor, right by Woodman’s, however the opening date has yet to be shared.

In the past year, 7Brew’s popularity has grown exponentially. They are known for their customizable drinks and variation in their drink selection.

“The first day they [7Brew] opened,” says senior Jaycie Finch, “they were super busy, and I was waiting in line for almost an hour.”

According to the 7Brew website, they grew by 400 stands between 2023 and 2025, showing their popularity spike over the past few years.

“My favorite thing about 7Brew is all of the different drinks they have,” says Finch, “because you can get an energy drink, or you can get a coffee, or even one of their fizz sodas.”

Around the time of opening, 7Brew hosted special events such as shirt giveaways and free drinks. They also frequently do other kinds of giveaways across most stores. These include getting free car coasters with the purchase of two medium or large drinks, among other similar promotions.

“I’m glad that we have a 7Brew close to us,” says Jackie Stauner, “because I don’t have to drive half an hour anymore.”

As time has passed at that location, lines have gone down significantly. This will likely be similar to what happens at the Lakemoor location when it opens.
