Israel was attacked by a terrorist group by Hamas Oct. 7. Israel is now retaliating by invading the Gaza Strip and is starting to cut off electricity in Palestine. Israel has started firing air strikes in Palestine destroying schools and homes.

On Tuesday October 10 a natural gas explosion happened in Woodstock. In this fire, 22 people were removed from their homes, two family dogs critically injured, and two houses were left structurally unsafe to live in. Everybody that had to move out of their homes were temporarily moved to a nearby church.

On Wednesday October 18 all juniors will be taking the Preliminary SAT. Good scores on the PSATs will give students opportunities for scholarships. This year the PSATs are different, students will be taking the PSAT online, which means that students will not have a long story to read for English, or math, so students can use a calculator on all parts.
