“I’m feeling really overwhelmed with my schoolwork and extracurricular activities. It seems like there’s never enough time in the day to get everything done, and I’m starting to feel really stressed out. Do you have any tips for managing my time better and reducing my stress levels?”
Sincerely, Stressed Student
Dear Stressed Student,
I totally understand how hard it can be to balance your schoolwork with the activities or sports you do after school. I find it best to utilize any free time you have during the day to get your homework done before you even get home. Since I personally don’t have a study hall, I usually try to get homework done during aim, lunch or even during class if there’s extra time at the end of the period.
It can be annoying to have to use your free time during the school day but it’s still better than staying up until midnight to rush and do everything later. Once you find a good schedule and time management plan for yourself, your stress levels should start to go down.

Dear Stressed Student,
Your feelings are totally valid! I know me and Brynn have been working tirelessly in preparation for finals recently. It’s insanely stressful when schoolwork and sports or clubs start to overlap. With all of that combined with the semester ending, it’s no wonder you’re overwhelmed. Firstly, I think it’s important to remember to not be too hard on yourself. Grades are very important but so is your mental health.
Also, there is light at the end of the tunnel. We only have three weeks left until winter break and soon, all of this stress will be over with. Clock in at the locked in factory but don’t work too hard! Be sure to take time for yourself in the following days and don’t prioritize academics over mental wellbeing. I’m proud of you, and keep going.
