‘Weekends with Adele’ is a residency at the Colosseum, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. In a room of 4,100 people, Adele lights up the room with smiles. Her voice is so beautiful, powerful and full of emotion. Everyone that sees her show is just in awe of her talent. In my eyes, there is no better.
When Adele first decided to do her show at the Colosseum she ended up canceling it because she did not want to “wing it” like other artists. What was planned just was not up to her standards. She wanted it to be exactly as she pictured. More intimate. Finally, after canceling the show and then redoing the whole production, Adele started “Weekends with Adele” one year ago.
Adele’s popularity has grown so much over the past few years. Especially after her last album release “30.” Her shows have become so popular that it is nearly impossible to get a ticket. If you do get a ticket, it will cost a lot of money.
With Adele’s popularity she has been able to sell out the 4,100 seats in Caesars Palace Colosseum almost every weekend. People are willing to buy tickets for upwards of $1,800 per seat. Adele has recently agreed to adding 34 more shows which will run through this summer. Right now, fans may be able to get a ticket for $700 per seat.
Adele is a very talented artist. There is no doubt about it. She is a songbird, her talent is on full display in Vegas. The stage where she performs her songs is very minimal. No dancers, just back up singers, a very small orchestra, and Adele dressed in black. One reason why Adele might not be so popular with some folks is that she initially canceled her shows in Vegas after people purchased tickets, and purchased airline tickets to get there and made reservations at hotels. Fans were out a bunch of money. Adele feels she was right in canceling, even if it upset some people. She told The Guardian that “it was the lowest time in her career.”
Adele certainly is a talented singer that may have made what some people think was a huge mistake when she initially canceled her shows in Vegas. She has risen above and has put on a great run at The Coliseum. Fans from all over the world are flocking to see her, a lot of celebrities too. If you can afford a ticket, I would definitely recommend going.
