MCHS students, staff, and fans excitedly supported the opening of the Warrior Shack this September with help from the new extracurricular Business Professionals of America.
MCHS created a student merchandise store called The Warrior Shack during the beginning of the school year with the help of their BPA students.
The Warrior Shack officially opened up on Sept. 29, at McCracken field to support our school by selling school merchandise.
This shack is run by the BPA, where students participate in business-like activities. The shack also helps to aid the club in their activities.
“The shack is doing so far so well,” said Nicholas Valenziano, the Business Education Instructor. “A lot of sales by new teachers, from school opening, football, and parent night.”
With their sales increasing, it will help pay for the BPA costs and other school funds.
“The shack was made because the school wanted to have students work retail and raise money for BPA,” said Valenziano.
Students will learn several skills like handling money, working retail, customer service and more. The shack plans to add onto their brand and expand within the school, like putting a “brick store” into the cafeteria.
“The feedback has been great. It is a really cool concept,” continues Valenziano. “The fact the designs are made by MCHS students makes it very unique.”
Having designs for our school store made by the students is a great way to get connected with the school and make designs our students will like to wear to support their school.
With the football season ending, there is hope to see more of the store as the school year goes on.
