Before the upcoming 2024-2025 NFL season, a poll was run at MCHS in which 42 students responded with their thoughts over 15 predictions at the end of the season.

The categories included favorite team, Super Bowl champ, who will win the NFC and AFC, player of the year honors, offensive player of the year honors, favorite player at different positions and who would be your overall number one pick for fantasy football.

Based on the poll answers from the categories: favorite team, who do you think will win the superbowl and the predictions for winners in the NFC and AFC. 52% of students chose the Chicago Bears as their favorite team, 19% chose the Bears again to win the Super Bowl to take first. For the winners in NFC and AFC category there was a two way tie at first between the Bears and Detiort Lions to win the NFC championship and nearly 30% picked the Kansas City Chiefs to win the AFC championship for the season.

In the player of the year category, 10% of voters picked 49ers running back Christian McCaffery to win Offensive Player of the Year which was the most votes given in that category.

There was a 3 way tie for Defensive player of the year between Micah Parsons, Maxx Crosby and TJ Watt. 67% of voters picked Bears Quarterback, Caleb Williams to win Offensive Rookie of the Year and 20% of voters picked Indianapolis Colts Defensive Lineman, Laiatu Latu to win Defensive Rookie of the Year.

There are some things to keep in mind with this survey, the main one being that we live in the Chicagoland area so there is going to be bias. Also keep in consideration this is a small sample size of people who have voted.
