After the pink carpet, the countdown reaches zero and lights illuminate the runway. Wearing a glistening gold outfit and a structured ornamentation referencing Botticelli’s, “Birth of Venus,” on her back, along with her baby bump, Jasmine Tookes opened the show with a stunning take to the catwalk, making her the first woman in history to do so at nine months pregnant.
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was held at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn, New York City, on Oct. 15, 2025, and was primarily invitation-only. Many familiar faces walked, including supermodels Adriana Lima, Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid, all accompanied by some new faces as well.
Making history by being the first professional athletes to walk in the show, athletes Angel Reese and Suni Lee did not disappoint.
American professional basketball player, Angel Reese plays for the Chicago Sky of the Women’s National Basketball Association and for Rose BC of the Unrivaled basketball league. Reese rightfully earned her wings during her walk on the runway.
While getting ready for her walk Reese told CNN, “Everybody looks different, but they’re all beautiful. [That’s] the inclusivity of being a Victoria’s Secret model and knowing that you can look beautiful in many different shades, sizes, lengths, heights — tall, short — you can be here.”
Appearing in the, “halftime show,” for Pink, a Victoria’s Secret sub-brand targeting younger women, Suni Lee, an American artistic gymnast, took to the runway. She is the 2020 Olympic all-around gold medalist and uneven bars bronze medalist, and the 2024 Olympic all-around and uneven bars bronze medalist. She was the 2019 World Championship silver medalist on the floor and bronze medalist on uneven bars.
“I love watching everyone walk,” junior at MCHS Klaira Workinger says, “but especially this year as a younger female athlete, I found it really empowering to see the professional athletes walk in the show.”
Lee told Marie Claire ahead of the show that she was stepping outside of her “comfort zone” by walking in the show.
“I want young girls to know they don’t have to fit into just one box,” Lee said. “You can chase Olympic gold and still own your femininity.”
While the models served looks, the performances kept the audience stunned. Missy Elliott, Karol G, Madison Beer, and TWICE, with four of the group’s nine members — Tzuyu, Jihyo, Nayeon and Momo, all performing during the show, featuring an all-female lineup for the musical performances.
This was also content creator and model Quenlin Blackwell’s first time walking in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Blackwell first gained fame on Vine. She is mostly known for her funny, unfiltered comedy skits across social media platforms like TikTok, Twitter and YouTube.
This was not her first time dabbling in fashion, though, as she has taken the spotlight before. She walked the runway at Paris Fashion Week and has launched her own clothing line, ‘RIQUERA.’
On her Instagram, Blackwell says, “this is a dream come true. thank you to everyone that made this possible, I feel so loved and supported.”
Overall, the 2025 show seems to have been a success. The media response was very positive.
Fans loved to see all their favorite models and the new looks.
