Seniors top off high school with event-filled final weeks

As the school year comes to a close, seniors schedules remain packed with fun activities, banquets, and graduation

The end of senior year is busy for everyone, so The Messenger has created a straightforward calendar to keep seniors on track through the end of the school year.

Senior year gets busy for everyone, even non-seniors. The last month of school gets especially stressful for seniors with all the events, so it’s hard to keep things straight . The Messenger has put together a concise calendar to help seniors keep their days in order and plans set all the way to Graduation.

 

May 7 → Distinguished Warrior Banquet:  6 p.m.

This invite-only event held at the Holiday Inn in Crystal Lake. Doors open at 5:15 p.m.

 

May 9 → Senior Picnic: 10:45 a.m. – 1:10 p.m.

This senior-only picnic will be open during all lunch periods. Seniors will be excused periods 4-6 to attend.

 

May 10 → Senior Honors Night: 6:30 p.m

This invite-only event will take place in the Upper Campus Main gym.

 

May 11 → Senior Sunset: 6 p.m.

This event take place at Peterson Park and celebrate the last week for seniors.

 

May 12 → Seniors last day of school

Don’t miss this opportunity to say goodbye classmates and teachers.

 

May 15-16→ Senior finals: 7: 35 a.m.

Finals will take place at the beginning of the school day in the Upper Campus cafeteria. Plan to be there on day one; only students who still have work to finish will need to attend day two.

 

May 19  → Graduation rehearsal: 10 p.m.

This rehearsal at McCracken Field is mandatory for all seniors.

 

May 20 → Graduation: 11 a.m.

Graduation will take place at McCracken Field weather permitting. If weather is bad, the ceremony will be rescheduled in the Upper Campus main gym in two ceremonies at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
