With a struggling offense, the New England Patriots fall to the Tennessee Titans, 20-13. The 2019-20 season ended Brady’s contract with the Pats, raising questions about where he would end up in the following season. Many thought that he would return and finish his astounding career with the coach who’d been there with him since the start, Bill Belichick. After all, the two had worked together for 20 seasons, racking up 219 total wins, 6 of those being in the Super Bowl.
After the loss to Tennessee, Brady updated his curious Instagram followers with a lengthy thank you. At the end of this statement, he writes, “Because I know I still have more to prove.” Numerous commenters believed that this was his way of saying that he would not be returning to New England, and they would soon be proven correct.

The linemen step up to the line of scrimmage. Zach Triner prepares to snap the football back to Brady, who shouts out a set of commands before the ball is snapped. He receives the ball and lowers his knee to the ground. As time expires, the players hug and celebrate their successful season. The Buccaneers have just won the NFC Championship. Brady runs to the bleachers to hug his son, a tradition for the two of them.
The Buccaneers will face off against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV, set in Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida. This will be Brady’s tenth Super Bowl appearance, adding to his lead in the all time appearance race.
