On Saturday, Student Council will host a school-sponsored trip to Six Flags Great America for what they call “Super Smashin’ Six Flags Saturday.”

For $25, students will receive entry into Six Flags as well as transportation to the amusement park. The offer is open to all grade levels and includes a ticket to Battle of the Bands taking place the same night.

Students will meet at the Upper Campus at 8:30 a.m. to board buses. They will be at the theme park from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

When students arrive at the Upper Campus, food trucks will be available at the Upper Campus starting at 6 p.m. so students can purchase food and snacks while enjoying Battle of the Bands starting at 7 p.m.

Posters advertising this event can be found along the hallways of both campuses, providing information on where to buy tickets, and what exactly the trip was. Students must have a signed permission slip to attend. With tickets being sold at a discounted price, only 500 were made available.

Tickets went on sale until May 3, although students with a season pass can purchase a bus pass for $5 from Leah Pelletier or Samantha Donelson.

“Normally, a ticket at Six Flags is $50 for one day,” says sophomore Colton Sundburg. “I believe $25 is worth it as long as the weather is good.”
