The MCHS Wind ensemble went to Nashville Tennessee on April 20 for three days to participate in the WorldStrides Performing Arts Heritage Festival.

The band scored a 292 out of 300 at the competition and brought home a gold rating, an adjudicator award, the Outstanding Band Award. Along with the festival, they went to music history museums and got to learn more about the history behind the music they are playing and much more. They also had free time to explore the city and have fun as well.

Sophomore Gavin Wuchter says, “We went to Brentwood High School, we got there, we showed up and played … The clinicians taught us to be softer, and I really liked our clinician.”
