Colleen Eddy’s dance class concludes first semester by designing and performing their dances

On Dec. 9, third period dance students showcased their skills by creating and performing their own dances. In previous years, students would prepare for a show, but this year they got to create their own dances after learning about jazz, contemporary, and hip hop dance styles.
“Instead of focusing on preparing dances for a show,” says dance instructor Colleen Eddy, “students are just working on learning more challenging skills and becoming better dancers.”
