Students celebrated prom Friday April 28, at 7p.m to 12a.m at the renaissance in Schaumburg. On tables, there were centerpieces with a rose ands book, each with a leafy light up circle to go around it. Signature drinks were offered to match the theme. There were also opportunities to take pictures, including a traditional photo booth a 360-degree camera.

President Joe Biden announced April 25, 2023 that he will run for a second term in office. Biden argues that American Democracy still faces a threat from Donald Trump awaiting a rematch in the next two years. Biden also said 4 years ago we were in a battle for the soul of America and he says we still are.

A war broke out in Sudan on April 15 between the Sudanese army and a paramilitary group called the Rapid support forces. They are calling this the next civil war. During this warm 500 have died and thousands have been injured. There has been a cease fire set in place although they really aren’t cease firing putting citizens lives on the line in this conflict. In October 2021, the RSF got involved in a coupwith the government to overthrow it to make it a democratically elected government.
